Copy a video link on your phone
- Open the Instagram app and find the video in the feed.
- Tap the three dots above the caption, or the share icon, depending on the app version.

- Return here, paste the URL, and press Download.
If the copied text includes a caption before the URL, delete everything except the https:// address.
Copy a video link on a computer
Open the post in a browser. The address bar should contain instagram.com/p/ or instagram.com/tv/ and a short code. Copy that full URL. A profile address such as instagram.com/username will not work.
Carousels and TV links
Some posts swipe through several photos and videos. They still use a /p/ URL. ReelFetch does not invent a video when the slide is only a photo. Older long videos sometimes use /tv/. Those links are accepted as video posts.
A link with /reel/ or /reels/ is a Reel. Use the Instagram Reels downloader for those.
When the download cannot continue
A valid-looking link can still fail if the account is private, the post was removed, or there is no video file. In those cases nothing is saved to your device.
Sound and quality
A video file includes its soundtrack. There is no separate audio download. When Instagram publishes more than one size, the result lists those sizes. ReelFetch does not upscale a video. Frequently asked questions
What does an Instagram video link look like?
A feed video usually looks like instagram.com/p/ followed by a short code. Older long-form videos may use instagram.com/tv/. A Reel uses instagram.com/reel/ or instagram.com/reels/ and belongs on the Reels page.
Can I save one video from a carousel?
Carousel posts use a /p/ link. ReelFetch saves the video slides from a public carousel and skips photo slides. If every slide is a photo, there is no video file to save.
Why was my post link rejected?
The address may point at a profile, a story, a comment thread, or a share preview. Open the video, copy the link again, and make sure the path contains /p/ or /tv/ and nothing after the short code.
Will the sound be included?
When a video file is available, the soundtrack is part of that file. ReelFetch does not offer a separate audio-only download.
Does ReelFetch improve video quality?
No. ReelFetch lists the sizes Instagram provides for that public post, including a higher original size when one is published. It does not upscale footage.
